If you're looking for a way to fix bugs regarding mass effect, or origin in general, you're in the wrong place, but you're welcome to read.
I'm presuming you already installed that piece of crap.

The title explained it. But honestly, EA has been on a fail rampage for few years, hmm about the time they released the first addon for sims.
So what is the new shiny Origin? A big pile of bull****. And we'll see why. First of all, it's in BETA so I could cut some slack, but "BETA" does not justify the ridiculous prices and pathetic discounts. Not to mention the overload with accounts lately, "EA, Bioware (for every damn game), Mycrysis (and another rippoff), GTA Social club, Games for windows live, not to mention the countless korean MMO games, such as ijji,z8 and others.
The only two sites that actually deserve registration is the Steam and Battle.net. But, back to Origin now.

First thing it showed me "Connect with your friends from facebook", oh come on, it's not like I couldn't post a status to ask them. So skip that. Avatar time. Opening the account info and bam! "Blahblahblah, sorry, sorry, but our servers hate Balkan Try later." Okay, I'll be the guy with no avatar, let's see the new features guide, bam! "Sorry but our servers hate you. Try again in ten thousand years." Okay, so I can't see it's features either, ah well. Let's activate a game, my neverwinternights CD 1 was broken So I'd hopefully play the game online again. Boo! guess what? "There has been an error. OUR SERVERS HATE YOU." That was the last straw, but lets not jump to the uninstall button just yet. Let's see the prices. All are same as retails? Okay, uninstall now.
I mean, what is EA trying to do, it's like they've been led by a bunch of halfbrained mimes. "Let's copy the steam and make it more crappy. And tell people it's new and better, and has a white skin, ooh." I do know how stupid people are, it will catch on, EA will make a s***load of money out of it,just by selling gamekeys and server bandwidth.
And now, Battlefield 3 is working like battlefield heroes, trough a browser. Goddamn, EA how much do you pay those lunatics to ruin you? To pay 60 bucks for a game that you play via your browser and being unable to set the visual quality... ridiculous.

Anyhow, under all this ranting there is a good thing. Every EA game that you can buy on steam, can be activated on Origin. Only games games newer than 2009 (Dragonage 1 and later).

EDIT: Okay I managed to get it running after a month or two and I've managed to activate my Dragonage Origins, hopefully I'll be bored enough to finish it.
Oh great, now bioware is f**ked up... Do I have to download pirated games so I can play them? First lulzsec hack bioware (Thank you hacking douche bag, I hope you are happy with your wasted 60 years of life in jail. I hope you get raped to death.) and bioware deletes all the accounts, but not activations.

But back to the topic, the Origin. I have also managed to get my avatar... a default one... So they couldn't use the gravatar like with BF3? Ah well, f**k it, it's not like I'm trying to use something Valve made, and EA ripped off.

Also take note, Origin is technically a trojan software, which collects more data about your computer than they actually need. (Such as which files do you have.)

To summarize this. Origin is not something you should be happy about installing. It barely gives you any useful features such as chating (I can chat with steam or xfire, thank you very much) , heck you cant even choose your avatar properly. Not to mention it violates your privacy and is technically ilegal, as it operates the same way those malware trojans do.

If you really like EA and their draconian methods, be my guest. Install that piece of crap But remember, if you install it you are actually supporting that pathetic excuse for a gaming platform which reeks of DRM. If you want to play battlefield 3, get the origin remover made by Razor1911, it allows you to play BF3 normally without origin.

Yeah, the name keeps giving me the flashbacks. And when I finished writing this, I had to check every 'origin' for 's' letter. xD
